You earn a commission on what they actually pay, and request a payout when the balance is large enough.

The terms, plainly

Your commission is 30% of what a referred subscription pays.
Payouts are requested from the portal once your available balance reaches USD 50.00.
Commission is credited when a customer pays, not when they sign up for a trial. A refunded payment reverses the commission it earned. There is no payment for an application, and approval is not automatic.
